On 10~12 October, 2010, a delegation led by Dr. Lucio C. Tan, the Board Chairman of Eton Group went to Tianjin and attended "the Third Executive Council of the First China Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs Association" held by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, the "China • Tianjin 2010 Fair for Business Development of Overseas Chinese and Chinese in Binhai New Area" held by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council and Tianjin Municipal Government, and other activities. 8 people including Mr. Cheung Chi Ming, the CEO of Eton Properties Group and Chen Yongcan, the President of Asia Brewery (China) Investment Co., Ltd. accompanied Dr. Lucio C. Tan at the meeting.

On the evening of October 10, Mr. Lucio C. Tan and other overseas Chinese entrepreneur representative attending the meeting met Li Haifeng, the Director of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council. After that, they boarded "Haihe River No. 1" cruise in the company of Tianjin Vice Mayor Ren Xuefeng and traveled along the "sleepless river" of Binhai New Area. The beautiful scenery on the two banks of the Haihe River aroused their great interest.

On October 11, Mr. Lucio C. Tan attended "the Third Executive Council of the First China Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs Association" held by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council and listened to work reports. In the morning of the same day, Zhang Gaoli, the Secretary of Tianjin Municipal Party Committee and other leaders invited Mr. LUcio C. Tan and council members to a banquet at Tianjin Guest Hotel.

On the morning of October 12, Mr. Lucio C. Tan, his wife and his delegation attended the two days'"China • Tianjin 2010 Fair for Business Development of Overseas Chinese and Chinese in Binhai New Area". Li Haifeng, the Director of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council was present at the opening ceremony and made a speech. Besides, Ren Qiliang, the Deputy Director of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, Xu Rongmao, Zhang Xiaoqing, Chen Lihua and Chen Youqing, the Executive Vice Chairmen of China Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs Association and the key leaders of Tianjin Government attended related activities. The theme of this fair is "New Development of Binhai, New Opportunities of Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs". Nearly 400 overseas Chinese entrepreneur organization representatives and professionals from more than 20 countries and regions, such as: the United States, Japan, Germany, France, Indonesia, the Philippines, Hong Kong and Macao attended the meeting.

Mr. Tan felt pleased to be invited to attend this event. From this trip to Tianjin, he personally felt the rapid growth of Tianjin in all aspects. He saw the strong development momentum of Tianjin and learnt the development and opening of Tianjin Binhai New Area have been included into national strategic layout of development and the potential of regional economic development will be huge in the future. Mr. Tan hopes he can find appropriate projects for cooperation in Binhai New Area through this event to contribute to the development of Tianjin.
